What is Activation?
Activation is a one-time procedure that registers your purchased product in the Alight database and connects it to your customer record. This protects you by ensuring that only you are able to use your licensed full version of the software, and by connecting your software to your customer record for customer service and technical support purposes.
When you purchase Alight Planning, you will receive an Alight Planning Installation Assistance email that contains download links for your software and training, and your unique Product Key.
Under the Alight license agreement, you can use this Product Key for activating only the number of copies you purchased. Each purchased copy may be installed on one computer.
Subsequent activations for re-installing on the same machine or for installing it on new machine under the original license require calling Customer Service at (800) 960-7717 or (530) 622-5485 for international.
Activation is easy
You can activate your Alight Planning software in one of two ways:
- When you launch the program A dialog will appear that prompts you for activation. If you click Yes, the activation dialog will appear. Copy and paste the Product Key sent to you in the Alight Planning Installation Assistance email, and click OK. This will activate your software and unlock the disabled features.
- From within the program Activation is available by selecting Activation from the Help menu. This will open the activation dialog. Copy and paste the Product Key sent to you in the Alight Planning Installation Assistance email, and click OK. This will activate your software and unlock the disabled features.
Please note: An internet connection is required to complete the activation process. |
